Outgrown 03:34
I don't want to wake up in my bed Rising to the feeling of familiarity I don't want this déjà vu again For me the same old has gotten old I don't want to fall asleep at home To round out the day just like so many times before I don't want this bland monotony For me the same old is taking hold I just want to fly Somewhere I can find myself lost On roads I've never crossed And I just want to try Colour outside the lines I've been drawn And break from the norm' How am I to grow When my roots have become so potbound Confined to this town And how am I to know how Life can look with an alternate view To one I outgrew
2.
Recover 04:13
Caught out cold Hiding from you in a skin so old I'll come clean Everyone everywhere knows it's me And if I recover Would you be my comfort Or it can be over And we can just leave it here So pick any number Choose any colour I've got the answer Open the envelope I'll give you one more chance say We can change or part ways And you take what you need And you don't need me I'll give you one more chance say We can change our old ways And you take what you need And you know you don't need me Blow by blow Honest in every way I know You appear To face a decision I know you fear

This story seems unclear I can't help but feel there's something missing here Like thunder with no sound Like an earthquake that doesn't shake the ground I know what you're telling me is just a story I know what you're saying to me isn't reality None of these words I know Just jumbled letters written in a row It's obvious to see The point remains completely lost on me Where's the fact and where's the fiction What's the point an what's the reason And what's the aim Looking forward into the distance Will you agree with your intentions Or feel shame Now come on man, there's a difference What you eat and what you feed them When you're to blame Though I don't know what I don't know I know there's nothing to know It's all the same to me

They move so suddenly So unpredictably to Create an endless maze For us to spend our days Rules by which we abide Come from what they decide Problems that don't get fixed We call it politics Their model was designed For us to become blind to The fact they demonstrate Ideals that we all hate Ancient priorities Cause insecurities This endless bag of tricks We call it politics Why is it so hard to find Reason in all of this No matter how hard I try I just can't find any sense In all of this Only when it's too late They overcompensate To appear compassionate To mask the opposite The wealthy get to take What we work hard to make Loading our backs with bricks We call it politics The truth is we've heard all this before The truth..I just can't find anymore
